Project Location: Frankfort / Namahadi, Free-State.
Description: The project consisted of upgrading 1 existing sewage pump station and constructing 2 new sewage pump stations in Frankfort and Namahadi. The pump stations can be summarised as follows:
Geelhout Pump Station: New pump station with a pumping capacity of 31.1l/s.
Seagull Pump Station: Upgrade existing pump station to 59.4l/s.
Namahadi Pump Station: New pump station with a pumping capacity of 167l/s.
Conclusion: The 3 pump stations forms part of upgrading the existing bulk sewage systems for Frankfort / Namahadi. This consists of diverting all the sewage to one WWTW instead of having 2 separate plants to maintain.
