Client: Sedibeng Water / Letsemeng Local Municipality
Project Location: Jacobsdal/Ratanang, Free-State.
Description: The project consisted of the design and project management of new 4.2Ml water treatment plant (WTP) in Jacobsdal. This also entailed upgrading the raw water dams and raw water pump station supplying the WTP. The WTP is fully automated with an advanced SCADA system which allows remote monitoring. The sand filters were equipped with an integrated DAFF system. The plant has a recycling facility where all the backwash / sedimentation waste are recycled back to the inlet-works resulting in very low water losses.
Conclusion: The project was successfully completed and handed over to the client in May 2021.
