Project Location: Ficksburg, Free-State.
Description: The project consisted of upgrading of the existing raw water extraction pump station at Meulspruit Dam. This entailed upgrading the pumps by supplying 3 new pump sets (200kW, 2 duty & 1 standby) with a total pumping capacity of 416l/s. The rising main was designed as a 630mmØ m-PVC Class 16 pipe. The pump station conveys raw water from the Meulspruit Dam to Ficksburg water treatment works over a distance of 7.7km.
Conclusion: The project was successfully completed and handed over to the client in May 2018
