Project Location: Ficksburg (Dimster Farm), Free-State.
Description: The project consisted of the design and project management of upgrading the existing raw water extraction pump station, new balancing Dam Pump Station and associated Rising mains. The pump stations have a total combined capacity of 170l/s and supplies raw water to Ficksburg and separately to Clocolan/Marquard.
Conclusion: The project was successfully completed and was implemented as a raw water augmentation scheme and made a big impact during the draught experienced during the 2014-2016 period.
